LEADERSHIP

RREA exists to enhance the Rotman real estate experience for students through education, application, and exposure, and with our strong leadership focused on these objectives, we continue to thrive.

Shannon Woods

President

Before coming to Rotman, Shannon spent over 5 years working as an architectural designer at B+H Architects in both their Toronto and Singapore studios. She has worked on a variety of projects including office and residential towers, hotels, and mixed-use buildings. Her experience working with complex teams of consultants, contractors, and developers has allowed her to develop strong industry knowledge and technical skills. She is passionate about design and hopes to further contribute to the strategic development of cities as her career progresses. Shannon’s international perspective has been honed through her education at The University of Edinburgh, working abroad, and traveling extensively.

In her first year of the MBA, Shannon was a member of the RREA Development Team, and she is currently working as a summer analyst on the development team at Oxford Properties Group. She is very excited to continue supporting RREA members in their journey to enhance their skill sets and networks and to become the most hireable MBAs in the Real Estate Industry.

Tony Ju

Vice President, Finance

Tony has extensive experience in building design and project management in the construction industry. His diverse work experiences include projects involving commercial, residential, and mixed-use buildings in addition to transportation and healthcare infrastructure. Tony holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering with an Option in Management Science from the University of Waterloo.

Tony began his career in building restoration and has a deep understanding in both engineering concepts as well as project management. Tony currently works as a Building Code Examiner at the City of Toronto, where he has performed over 1000 building permit reviews ranging from small residential renovations to large commercial building conversions. Aiming to leverage his engineering and public sector experience in the real estate industry, Tony looks to pursue a position in real estate development upon graduation. Furthermore, Tony has placed first in the 2019 Developers’ Den Case competition and the 2019 NAIOP Development Challenge.

Andrew Ji

Prior to Rotman, Andrew worked as a project engineer in the energy infrastructure space for 5 years and lived in Houston, Texas for 9 years. He managed multi-million infrastructure projects across North America and Europe and is a certified Project Management Professional(PMP). He is a graduate of Rice University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. His interest in real estate sparked as he managed a small rental portfolio and initiated a first-of-its-kind crowdfunding island-buying project. He recently worked as an investment analyst intern at Bluebird, a US-based leading developer and owner of self-storage facilities rapidly expanding into the Canadain market, underwriting development, and investment opportunities.

During his first year at Rotman, Andrew was actively involved with RREA events and placed as a finalist in RREA’s real estate development case competition sponsored by SmartCentres. He is currently completing his summer internship at the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan.

Kabir Sukhrani

Vice President, External

Before pursuing his MBA from the Rotman School of Management, Kabir graduated from Cornell University's Baker Program in Real Estate, focused on the Development & Sustainability concentration. What drew him to the program was his deep fascination with how the transformation of raw to developed land can create an urban fabric that sculpts communities and drives infrastructure. With an undergraduate education in Civil Engineering, Kabir has also developed a technical understanding of the construction process within the development cycle.

Kabir’s previous professional experience in real estate includes being the Real Estate Project Manager for one of Canada’s largest tire and automotive service companies for over four years, as well as a prior role as Analyst at Altus Group where he was deeply plugged into Edmonton's commercial real estate market.

In his first year at Rotman, Kabir applied his unique background to help his team capture first place at the RREA/SmartCentres REIT Real Estate Development Case Competition in January 2020.

Oleg Egorov

Vice President, Internal

Prior to returning to school, Oleg managed his own property management company in Moscow, Russia and grew the company’s portfolio (number of condominiums under management) by six times, significantly increased financial performance and created a new corporate culture that expanded to tenants, who became more involved in solving problems in their community. Before that Oleg worked as a lawyer for a real estate development company, leading and winning several resonant litigations against Moscow City Government.

Having extensive entrepreneurial and legal experience, Oleg is on the path of extending his expertise in real estate finances and data analysis. He is passionate to share his experience with RREA members and to help them find their own path in the real estate industry.

Clarence Qian

Vice President, Communications

As an experienced manager with a demonstrated history of working in the architecture and real estate development industry, Clarence’s passion lies in being able to see the value created and the results achieved from design and project management.

In his current role as Development Manager with Distrikt Developments, he provides day-to-day management and process guidance on Distrikt’s projects as part of the development team.
