RREA Kick-Off 23-24

CIBC Room,

Wednesday, September 20, 2023 - 6:00pm - 8:00pm

Dresscode: Business Casual

Students will be introduced to the RREA and the real estate offering at Rotman. The club will outline its goals, events, and initiatives for the upcoming school year. After this, representatives from the school will briefly speak on the real estate offerings and services at Rotman.  After the kickoff, students will have the opportunity to meet second year and recent graduates to network.

SmartCentres Case Competition

Winter 2024

The case competition is an annual event held by the club. It provides students with the opportunity to learn about the real estate development process and prepares them for internships and careers in the industry. For the past several years the case competition has been sponsored by SmartCentres. SmartCentres provides a real world development case for the students, judges for the competition, and the cash prize that is paid out to the winning teams.

Rotman Alumni Social

February 2024

The purpose of this event is to strengthen connections with the community of RREA alumni. The event will provide opportunities for members to network with alumni who have established careers in the real estate and development industry in a relaxed social setting. Networking in the real estate and development industry is crucial to landing interviews and internship/full-time offers. The event will allow members to work on their networking skills and familiarize themselves with potential future employers and other industry players.

Development Night

March 2024

Allow students to network learn about and network with a core real estate function - development.

Site Tour / EOY Social

April 2024

Provide students with the opportunity to see a real world development in action, and celebrate the end of the year. By seeing a development site in person, students get a better apprecation for the real estate deals that they will be underwriting, provding valuable context that goes beyond the spreadsheet.
