About the Competition
The David Feldman Centre Innovation Challenge is Rotman’s premier real estate development competition, presented in collaboration with Cadillac Fairview. Students will tackle a real development problem and propose an innovative, feasible development strategy. The competition is open to all disciplines and encourages teams to combine diverse skillsets to create compelling solutions.
Work on a real CF asset
Analyze a major real estate asset with real development constraints and opportunities
Get paired with a mentor
Each team receives guidance from a real estate professional to support their analysis and approach
Develop industry skills
Strengthen your understanding of programming, feasibility, innovation, and development strategy
Build your industry network
Connect with mentors, judges, and peers to expand your relationships in the real estate industry

Prizes & Additional Information
The top three teams will receive prizes and present their proposals to a panel of senior industry executives and an audience of students and professionals.
All participating teams must be available in person on February 8th at the Rotman School of Management. Semi-final presentations will take place in the morning, and all teams are required to be on campus for this round. The top three teams will advance to the final round in the afternoon. By signing up, you are confirming that your full team can attend on February 8th.
